Two Gymnasts Named to All-MAC Team

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Junior Kelly Watson and sophomore Erica Gilkerson, two members of the gymnastics team, garnered All-Mid American Conference accolades for their performances at the MAC Championships held in Kalamazoo, Mich., March 25.
Watson earned All-MAC Second Team distinction after placing seventh in the all-around competition with a score of 38.225. She recorded scores of 9.675 on vault, 9.425 on bars, 9.600 on beam and 9.525 on floor. Watson's score of 9.600 on beam tied for 11th place.
Gilkerson was a Second Team honoree after recording BSU's top scores on vault (9.700) and floor (9.725). The mark on floor tied for 16th, while the floor score earned 19th-place honors. The sophomore added a 10th-place finish in the all-around competition with an overall score of 37.825.
The Cardinals finish out the season with an overall record of 2-15, while going 1-5 versus MAC competition.
