Indoor Track and Field Season Review

The squad concluded a strong indoor campaign finishing second at the Mid-American Conference Championships held in Bowling Green, Ohio. The Cardinals scored 105 points, while tournament champion Akron finished with 118.50.
Four athletes earned All-MAC accolades including Jill Scully, Terri Abraham, Jennifer McCoy and Amber Williams.
Scully earned First Team honors after winning both the 3,000-meter run (9:44.49) and the 5,000 (16:42.66) for the second-straight year. The senior added a second-place finish in the mile with a clocking of 4:52.52. In all, Scully racked up 28 of BSU's points. For her efforts, Scully was named the MAC's Most Outstanding Track Performer, also for the second-straight year.
Abraham garnered Second Team accolades after placing second in the long and triple jump. Abraham's mark of 20-05 in the long jump was an NCAA provisional qualifying score, team best and personal record. She added her second personal record of the meet in the triple jump with her score of 41-01.
McCoy received All-MAC Second Team distinction after placing second in the pentathlon with a NCAA provisional qualifying and school record score of 3,739. The senior also placed sixth in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.64 and seventh in the long jump with a score of 19-00 3/4.
Williams was a Second Team pick for her efforts in the 60-hurdles (8.27), 60-dash (24.52) and 200 (24.52). All three finishes garnered second-place honors. The time in the 60-hurdles is an NCAA provisional qualifying mark, while her time in the 60-dash was a season-best clocking.
Rose Lehe and Scully were honored as Academic All-MAC recipients. Lehe own's the team's highest GPA of 3.905 as a dietetics major. The junior finished the season posting the squad's third-best times in both the mile (5:01.47) and 3,000 (10:11.73). Scully finished out the year with BSU's best times in the mile (4:54.52), 3,000 (9:31.43) and 5,000 (16:31.26), while owning a GPA of 3.531 as a mathematics major.
