Four Track and Field Members Named to All-MAC Team

Scully won both the 3,000-meter (9:44.49) and 5,000 (16:42.66) for the second-straight year at the conference championships. She added a second-place finish in the mile with a clocking of 4:54.52. The senior is now a two-time MAC Most Outstanding Track Performer after taking home the title in 2005. Scully, currently owns the 30th-best time in the nation in the 3,000 (9:31.43) and 24th best time in the 5,000 (16:31.26).
Senior Jennifer McCoy received All-MAC Second Team distinction after placing second in the pentathlon with a NCAA provisional qualifying and school record score of 3,739. McCoy finished with a second-place finish in the 60 hurdles (8.62), tie for 12th in the high jump (4-10 1/2), first-place finish in the shot put (39-07), third-place finish in the long jump (19-04 1/2) and sixth-place finish in the 800 (2:33.16). The senior also placed sixth in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.64 and seventh in the long jump with a score of 19-00 3/4. McCoy's mark in the pentathlon currently ranks 24th nationally.
Junior Terri Abraham was a Second Team honoree after placing second in the long and triple jump. Abraham's mark of 20-05 in the long jump currently ties for14th in the nation, is an NCAA provisional qualifying score, team best and personal record. She added her second personal record of the meet in the triple jump with her score of 41-01.
Sophomore Amber Williams was named All-MAC Second Team after finishing second in the 60-hurdles (8.27), 60-dash (24.52) and 200 (24.52). The time in the 60-hurdles is an NCAA provisional qualifying mark, while her time in the 60-dash was a season-best clocking. Williams' finishes earned the Cardinals 24 points at the meet. Williams currently holds the 17th-best time in the nation in the 60-hurdles when she finished in 8.26 at the Meyo Invitational Feb. 4.
Abraham and Williams will both compete at the Alex Wilson Invitational held March 3-4 in Notre Dame, Ind.
