Gymnastics Falls to Eastern Michigan

Junior Jenna Tarkington took home top honors on vault with a score of 9.750, while sophomore Erica Gilkerson grabbed first on beam (9.650). Fellow sophomore Kristin Sprague chipped in tieing for first-place on floor with a mark of 9.625.
Junior Kelly Watson added second-place finishes on vault (9.725), beam (9.475) and in the all-around competition (38.000). Rounding out the top-three finishes were Brittany George and Tarkington , both tied for third on beam (9.425), and Kaitlyn Wills who placed third in the all-around (37.500).
The team recorded scores of 47.575 on vault, 44.525 on bars, 47.125 on beam and 46.550 on floor.
The Ball State squad will continue its season when they host conference rival Kent State next Friday at 7 p.m. in Irving Gym.
