MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State junior Jill Scully (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) and sophomore Rose Lehe (Wolcott, Ind./Tri-County) have been named to the Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, as announced today by the MAC office.
Lehe, a sophomore dietetics major, has managed a team-high 3.902 GPA at Ball State. She recently finished fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and eighth in the 5,000-meter run at the MAC Championships. Lehe recorded a first-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase April 9 at the Miami Invitational plus added personal bests in three different events throughout the season.
Scully, who earned All-MAC First Team accolades Wednesday, has compiled a 3.519 GPA in mathematics at BSU to earn Academic All-MAC honors for the second straight year. Additionally, Scully was named to the Academic All-MAC Cross Country Team last fall. She earned two first-place finishes (5,000 & 10,000-meter runs) last weekend at the MAC Championships, helping the Cardinals finish sixth out of 13 teams.
Scully will compete at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, held June 8-11 in Sacramento, Calif., after automatically qualifying April 15 at the Mt. SAC Relays by placing 11th in the 10,000-meter run (33:58.56).
