Coulton, a four-year letterman in tennis, was a 1983, 1984, and 1985 All-Mid-American Conference selection. He helped the Cardinals to their first men’s tennis MAC Championships in 1984 and 1985. The Cardinals have since won 10 more consecutive MAC titles to bring the string to 12. Coulton was the league’s No. 3 doubles champion as a sophomore in 1983 plus was the No. 1 doubles titlist as a junior.
