Wright, a three-year letterman on the football team from 1986-91, was a team co-captain as a senior. He started 34 consecutive games in his career on the offensive line. As a senior, he helped the Ball State offense tally over 1,500 yards on the ground and 1,400 through the air. An All-MAC First-Team selection as a junior, Wright started all 12 games for the Cardinals. He helped the 1989 team post a 7-3-2 overall record and win the MAC Championship with a 6-1-1 league slate. Wright helped the Cardinals to the school’s first-ever NCAA Division IA bowl game – the 1989 California Raisin Bowl. Wright helped that 1989 team finish the regular season with a 5-0-1 mark in its final six games to claim the conference championship. As a sophomore, Wright started all 11 games and helped Ball State to an 8-3 overall mark and a 5-3 conference slate. He received honorable mention on the All-MAC team as a sophomore in 1988.
Wright is currently an account executive with Phoenix Steel Service after serving as vice president of sales for Steel Warehouse from 1995-2009. Wright has one daughter – Peyton (7).
