Sayers Miller

Miller served as an athletic trainer at Ball State from 1958-69, and was the first head athletic trainer in Ball State history plus was the first physical therapist hired at the university’s health center. He served as the chair of the National Athletic Trainers Association Professional Education Committee and helped establish the athletic training curriculum currently used at Ball State. Miller, who passed away in 1980 at the age of 50, is a member of the NATA Hall of Fame.
