Rush Brown

Brown, a four-year regular at defensive tackle for the BSU football team, earned All-America recognition before spending four years with the St. Louis Cardinals in the National Football League. In 1978, Brown helped Ball State lead the nation in scoring defense as the Cardinals posted a 10-1 record and won the Mid-American Conference Championship with an 8-0 mark.

The two-time All-MAC selection was voted to the NFL All-Rookie team in 1980 and was chosen as a defensive co-captain for St. Louis in 1981.
