Schooley was Ball State’s Most Valuable Golfer in 1973 and was named the team’s co-MVP in 1972 and 1974. He co-captained the Cardinals as a senior in 1974. During his college career, Ball State won eight tournaments and tied for one title. The Cardinals posted a 40-3 dual-meet record in his four seasons, and Schooley was either medalist or co-medalist 15 times.
