Porchia Green, a member of the women’s basketball team from 2005-09, was the 2008-09 Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year and a two-time All-MAC selection. Green led the Cardinals to the 2009 MAC Tournament Championship and the school’s first trip to the NCAA Tournament. Green, who ended her career ranked 10th on the school’s all-time scoring list, led Ball State to a first-round NCAA Tournament win over two-time defending national champion Tennessee. She completed her career ranked sixth in career rebounds and assists on Ball State’s all-time lists. Green has spent the past eight years playing professional basketball overseas.
