Paul Kruse lettered on the men’s tennis team at Ball State from 1990-92 after transferring from the U.S. Naval Academy. Kruse earned All-America honors as part of the third-seeded doubles team at the 1992 NCAA Championships. He teamed with Dan Kronauge to rank third in the nation and first in the region in doubles plus completed his senior season ranked 30th in the region in singles. As a senior, Kruse captured Mid-American Conference Championships at No. 1 doubles and No. 4 singles. A 1992 All-MAC Selection and a member of the Rolex Collegiate All-Star Team, Kruse teamed with Kronauge to receive a No. 1 ranking in the Fall Volvo Tennis Collegiate Rankings in the 1991-92 season. Kruse compiled a 56-22 career record in singles, including a 10-0 mark against MAC competition. A 1991-92 Academic All-America Second-Team choice, Kruse also earned Academic All-MAC honors as a senior.
