Brown was a member of the Ball State field hockey team from 1983-87. She helped the Cardinals to four straight MAC Championships. A 1985 and 1986 All-MAC First-Team selection, Brown was also named to the 1986 College Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Regional Team after receiving honorable mention as a junior. A midfielder for the Cardinals, Brown helped Ball State to a 60-16-1 overall record in her four seasons, including a 26-1 mark against MAC teams. Brown was also a member of the Ball State team that was ranked as high as 15th in the nation in 1986 and completed the season ranked 19th in the nation. As a senior, Brown helped Ball State outscore its league opponents 19-3 during the regular season. A team captain as a junior and senior, Brown managed seven goals and seven assists in her final campaign.
Married to Michael Perry, Lisa Brown Perry was inducted into the Middleboro High School Hall of Fame as an individual athlete and as part of the 1983 softball team. She is currently the varsity field hockey coach and freshman softball coach at Middleboro H.S. She and her husband are the parents of three – Jessica (23), Kendra (19), and Neil (17).
