Schooley, who lettered in golf at Ball State from 1981 to 1983, was a two-time participant in the NCAA Golf Championships and a three-time All-MAC selection. Schooley was the 1983 MAC Sportsman of the Year plus received honorable mention on the NCAA All-America Team. He was Ball State’s Most Valuable Golfer in 1983 after leading the conference with a 74.8 stroke average.
