Kremer, a four-year football starter for Ball State, was selected to the Associated Press All-America third-team and named Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 1978 when the Cardinals posted a 10-1 record and captured the MAC Championship with a perfect 8-0 mark. Kremer played six seasons for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League, appearing in 87 games and starting 23 from 1979 to 1984.
