Dawson, who lettered in field hockey for the Cardinals from 1984 through 1987, was a three-time All-MAC selection and helped BSU to conference championships in three of her four seasons. Dawson received honorable mention on the College Field Hockey Coaches Association/Penn Monto All-America team as a senior after earning CFHCA All-Region honors and leading the Cardinals in scoring. She also earned all-region honors as a sophomore, and was named to the MAC Academic At-Large First Team in 1987.
