This strong safety was a force to be reckoned with on the field as Justin Beriault earned Mid-American Conference First Team honors in 2003 and 2004. As a freshman, Beriault was named to the 2001 Football Writers Association Freshman All-American Team and the Sporting News Freshman All-America Third Team.
Beriault started in 45 of 46 of his games as a Cardinal. At the end of his career, he ranked third in school history with 508 total tackles. Beriault surpassed the 100-tackle plateau in all four years at Ball State. His best season in tackles was in 2003 with 145. Beriault had the third-most tackles of any rookie in the country as a true freshman with 117 and ranked 10th nationally in 2004 with 125.
After his career at Ball State was completed, Beriault was selected in the sixth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
