Justin Beriault

This strong safety was a force to be reckoned with on the field as Justin Beriault earned Mid-American Conference First Team honors in 2003 and 2004. As a freshman, Beriault was named to the 2001 Football Writers Association Freshman All-American Team and the Sporting News Freshman All-America Third Team. Â

Beriault started in 45 of 46 of his games as a Cardinal. At the end of his career, he ranked third in school history with 508 total tackles. Beriault surpassed the 100-tackle plateau in all four years at Ball State. His best season in tackles was in 2003 with 145. Beriault had the third-most tackles of any rookie in the country as a true freshman with 117 and ranked 10th nationally in 2004 with 125. Â

After his career at Ball State was completed, Beriault was selected in the sixth round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
