John Reno

Induction:
1991

Dr. Reno served as the Chairman of the School of Physical Education and Athletics at Ball State University from 1970 to 1981. In that 11-year span, Ball State moved into NCAA Division I athletics with basketball becoming Division I in 1971-72 and football joining the nation’s top division in 1975. Also in Reno’s tenure, the Cardinals joined the Mid-American Conference and enjoyed championship teams in basketball, football, cross country, and golf.
