Jim Howell

Howell was the Outstanding Athlete at the 1976 Mid-American Conference Track and Field Championships before competing in the decathlon on nine United States national teams between 1978 and 1983. A four-year track letterman at Ball State from 1973 to 1976, he won the MAC decathlon title as a senior. Howell finished second in the decathlon at The Athletics Congress National Championships in 1982.
