Greg Garnica

Garnica, who was a member of the Cardinals’ football team from 1985-90, was a three-time Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year. A two-time Academic All-America Second-Team selection, Garnica started 44 consecutive games in four seasons. In 1989 he led the team in tackles with 161 tackles plus had six tackles for loss, including one sack. Garnica still holds the Ball State career record with 689 tackles, while his six career fumble recoveries is tied for the school standard and his 13 career interceptions ties for the second best mark in Ball State history.
