Grady, a four-year football letterman at Ball State, led the state in scoring in both 1953 and 1954 after ranking third as a freshman in 1952. The Indiana Collegiate Conference’s Most Valuable Back in 1953, Grady topped the ICC in scoring in both 1952 and 1954 and finished second in 1953. He was named Most Valuable Player for BSU in both 1953 and 1954 and served as a co-captain of the 1955 Cardinal football team.
