Orlando lettered in tennis from 1983 to 1987, and helped the Cardinals to four straight MAC Championships and a four-year 29-0 Mid-American mark. Orlando won the 1987 No. 3 singles title after winning the No. 2 doubles MAC title and the No. 4 MAC singles crown in 1986. He helped BSU to an 83-14 four-year overall record, and then served as a graduate assistant coach in 1987-88 and helped the Cardinals to another MAC crown.
