Cassy Herode earned four letters as a member of the Ball State University women’s volleyball team from 1991-94, and was selected the Mid-American Conference Player of the Year as a senior. Herode was voted to the All-MAC First-Team for a second straight season in 1994, becoming only the second player in Ball State history and just the 20^th in league history to achieve the distinction. She was a member of the 1992 team which advanced to the NCAA Tournament, the 1993 squad which won the MAC Championship and competed in the NCAA Championships, and the 1994 team which won the MAC title and competed in a third straight NCAA Tournament.
