Cary Hungate

Hungate was a member of the Ball State golf team from 1977-79, and was the Cardinals’ Co-Most Valuable Player as a senior. He tied for fourth at the 1977 MAC Championships and co-captained the Cardinals in 1979. A three-time Indiana Professional Golfers Association Player of the Year (1987, 1988, 1990), Hungate played in four U.S. Open Championships (1986, 1988, 1991, 1992) and in the 1990 PGA Championships after turning professional. He is a four-time Indiana Section Champion, a four-time Monticello Open Champion, a three-time Southern Open Champion and a two-time Northern Open Champion. Hungate has been the head golf professional at Kokomo Country Club since 1992.
