Yaroch, who earned both All-MAC and Academic All-MAC first-team honors in football as a senior at Ball State, quarterbacked the Cardinals to their first MAC football championship in 1976. Nationally, he ranked sixth in quarterback rushing, 14^th in total offense, and 28^th in scoring to earn All-America honorable mention in 1976. Following his 1977 graduation, Yaroch received a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
