In her 14 seasons with Sallee, Spencer has helped the Cardinals to back-to-back Mid-American Conference regular season titles in 2025 & 2026. Spencer also helped guide the Cardinals to the 2025 MAC tournament championship along with the program's second-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament. Spencer also has eight postseason Women's National Invitation Tournaments, a WNIT Sweet 16 appearance, a Mid-American Conference West Division title (2014), 10 MAC Tournament appearances and nine 20-plus win seasons under her belt with the Cardinals.
Over the course of Spencer's nine seasons on the coaching staff with Ball State, which began in 2015-16, she has helped the Cardinals to 210 wins, including Power-4 victories over Texas A&M, Pitt (twice), Vanderbilt, Purdue and Iowa.
A former standout guard for the Cardinals from 2006–2010, Spencer has spent over 15 years on the coaching staff, progressing from Director of Basketball Operations to Assistant Coach, and finally to her current role in May 2022 as Ball State’s Associate Head Coach.
Key highlights of her coaching tenure include:
- Historic Milestones: In early 2025, she reached her 350th combined win at Ball State across her roles as a player, operations director, and coach.
- Championship Success: Spencer helped lead the Cardinals to the 2025 Mid-American Conference (MAC) regular season and tournament championships, securing the program's second-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.
- Record-Breaking Performance: Spencer was integral to the 2023–24 season, where the team achieved a program-record 28 overall victories and a 14-game winning streak.
- Legacy: One of the most decorated figures in program history, she still holds the MAC record for career three-pointers (323) and was inducted into the Ball State Hall of Fame in 2021 as part of the 2008–09 team.
