Game Times Announced for Opening Games of 2024 Football Season

MUNCIE, Ind. - - As announced today by the Mid-American Conference and ESPN, the Ball State Cardinals will begin their 100th season of college football at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 against Missouri State. One week later, Ball State ventures to Coral Gables, Florida, to face the University of Miami at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 14.

While Ball State opens its 100th season overall, it also starts its 50th season in the MAC. Thursday, the league also announced its schedule of midweek #MACtion games that includes three of the Cardinals' final four weeks of the season:

  - On Election Day, Nov. 5, the Cardinals host Miami University on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU, in a Tuesday evening battle at either 7:30 or 8:00 p.m.
  - The next Tuesday, Nov. 12, Ball State visits Buffalo for a clash with the Bulls at 7 p.m., on either ESPN2, ESPNU or CBS Sports Network.
  - A game time for Ball State's final home game on Saturday, Nov. 23 vs. Bowling Green has yet to be determined.
  - The Cardinals wrap the regular season at Ohio, the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, Nov. 29, at Noon on either ESPNU or CBS Sports Network.
