Brovont Named MAC Diver of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - - After sweeping the diving events in last Saturday's dual at Southern Illinois, sophomore Porter Brovont has been named the Mid-American Conference Diver of the Week.

Brovont, who earns the honor for the second time in his career, dominated the diving well at Shea Natatorium by winning the 1M competition with a score of 307.73 and taking top honors on 3M at 328.50.

In addition to earning him the event win on 3M, Brovont's effort was an NCAA Zone Diving qualifying mark, giving him qualifying scores on each board this season.

Brovont and the rest of the Ball State men's swimming & diving program return to action March 6-9 at the Mid-American Conference Championships hosted by Southern Illinois.
