October 18, 2024 | Women's Golf
MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State women's golf team will look for history to repeat itself over the course of the next few days when it returns to the Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas, for the 2024 Diamante Intercollegiate.
The three-day event, which kicks off Sunday and runs through Tuesday, will bring an end to a highly successful fall season which has the Cardinals on a record setting pace. What better way to build on the solid start than to play on the same course the team broke the program's 18-hole (285), 36-hole (580) and 54-hole (865) scoring records a year ago.
After a practice round Saturday, the tournament gets underway Sunday with a 9:30 a.m. ET / 8:30 a.m. CT double tee start on the 6,124-yard, 72-par course. The Cardinals will tee off on hole 10 starting at 8:30 a.m. Tee times will be adjusted according to team standings for Monday's second round and Tuesday's final round.
The Cardinals are one of 18 teams scheduled to take part in the tournament, along with host Little Rock, Arkansas State, Boston College, Bradley, California Baptist, Central Arkansas, Florida Gulf Coast, Houston Christian, Missouri State, Oral Roberts, Southern Illinois, Stephen F. Austin, Tennessee Tech, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Texas A&M Commerce, UT Arlington and Wichita State.
Set to represent the Cardinals at the Diamante Country Club are Brittany Kelly Classic individual champion junior Jasmine Driscoll, along with sophomore JJ Gregston, junior Sarah Gallagher, junior Madelin Boyd and freshman Sophie Korthuijs.
In addition, sophomore Madelyn Young will compete as an individual for Ball State.
