Soccer's Moser Named MAC Defensive Player of the Week

CLEVELAND - - For her spectacular play last week, redshirt junior goalkeeper Bethany Moser has been named the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Moser, who earns the honor for the second time in her career, led all MAC keepers with a 0.56 goals against average and a .875 save percentage last week. She registered seven saves on eight shots on goal, with the only blemish coming against a strong Vanderbilt (Sept. 7) squad.

In fact, she held Vanderbilt scoreless until the 88th minute Thursday, while combining for a shutout in Sunday's 3-0 victory over Austin Peay (Sept. 10). She played the first 70:49 in goal and made all three saves to earn the win over the Governors.
