Women's Golf Fifth After Day Two of WMU Rio Verde Invitational

RIO VERDE, Ariz. - - Paced by a second-round score of 75 (+3) from Kiah Parrott, the Ball State women's golf team concluded the second day of the WMU Rio Verde Invitational in fifth place among the 18-team field with a team score of 607 (+31).
Parrott, who fired a pair of birdies in her solid second-round effort Saturday, is currently tied for 30th overall with a score of 152 (+8).
Madelin Boyd is the top Cardinal in the clubhouse after two rounds on the Quail Run Golf Course, following her opening-round 74 (+2) with a 76 (+4). She is just six strokes off the leaders at 150 (+6).
Sarah Gallagher is close behind, following her 74 (+2) first round with a 77 (+5) for a 151 (+7). Rounding out Ball State's golfers are Jasmine Driscoll in 45th at 154 (+10) and Paige Hillman in 82nd at 163 (+19).
In addition to Parrott, Gallagher and Driscoll each fired a pair of birdies on the day. BSU's best hole of the day wat the par-five 14th, with all three aforementioned golfers collecting a bridie. BSU finished the hole -3 as a team, while going -2 on the par-five six hole.
