Maddy Hischer Named MAC Women's Diver of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - - Ball State freshman Maddy Hischer has been named the Mid-American Conference Women's Diver of the Week after her performance at the Miami Aquatic Center last weekend.

Hischer, who earns the honor for the second time in her career, turned in a dominating effort on the 3M board Friday (Feb. 10). Her score of 333.10 took home the event victory on the 3M board and was the second-highest individual score in program history. It was also her third straight 3M diving victory of the season.

On Saturday (Feb. 11), Hischer would finish eighth on the 1M board at the Miami Classic, scoring 246.40 in the finals. She held the fourth seed among the 15 divers in the competition entering the finals after scoring 276.15 in the preliminary round.

Hischer, and the rest of the Ball State women's swimming & diving program, return to action Feb. 22-25 for the MAC Championships in Oxford, Ohio, hosted by Miami.
