Women’s Basketball Adds Sydney Bolden to 2022-23 Roster

MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State 11th year head women's basketball coach Brady Sallee has announced the signing of Sydney Bolden (Loganville, Ga./Loganville High School) who will join the Cardinals for the 2022-23 season.
Bolden is the fourth addition to the Cardinals 2022-2023 roster and will join a class featuring: Alex Richard (Avon, Ind.) and Sydney Shafer (Albion, Ind.).
"We hit the jackpot with Sydney Bolden," Sallee said. "Cardinal Nation is going to see a dynamic, electric, and aggressive player. She can flat out score the ball from anywhere on the floor! I believe she also can be an elite defender for us. Her passion for the game is undeniable and shows through in every second she is on the floor. Sydney is coming to us with a complete arsenal, and we look forward to watching her game explode at this level!"
Bolden was a highly decorated player for Loganville High School coming to Ball State as a two-time 5A All-State and Walton County Player of the Year honoree. She was tabbed to the all-county team four times and earned all-region accolades three years in a row.
Bolden, the region 8-5A Player of the Year, was chosen to play at the Georgia All-Star game after breaking numerous records in steals and free throws at Loganville High School.
Bolden holds the career steals record for the Red Devils. She also etched her name as the program's record holder in steals in a single season and a single game with 11. Bolden also ranks at the top of the list in free throws made in a game (13), free throws made in a season and career free throws made.
Bolden finished her career at Loganville with 1,480 points.
