Ball State completes two rounds at Robert Kepler Intercollegiate

Cardinals in 12th after 36 holes
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ball State men's golf team completed two rounds at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate Saturday. The Cardinals sit in 12th after the first 36 holes of play at 13-over (296-293--589).
Illinois leads the field at 23-under (553) at the par-72 Columbus Country Club. Ball State is just nine shots from catching Big Ten foes Michigan State (580), Rutgers (581) and Michigan (584).
Joey Wiseman leads the Cardinals at 2-over (72-74--146). The junior had eight birdies and 18 pars on the day and is tied for 35th.
Colin Nasser (73-74--147) and Joey Ranieri (76-71--147) are just one shot back at 3-over and part of a five-way tie for 41st. The duo combined for 12 birdies, including nine on the back nine.
Ali Khan is tied for 54th at 5-over (75-74--149). The redshirt freshman racked up seven birdies and 19 pars on his first two cards of the weekend. Griffin Hare, competing as an individual, sits at 6-over (75-75--150) and tied for 61st with three birdies thus far.
Rounding out the lineup, Carson Orr is tied for 77th at 11-over (77-78--155).
Ball State is paired with Northern Illinois and Toledo for Sunday's final round, beginning at 7:40 a.m. off the No. 10 tee box.
