Lukacs and Braun Tabbed MAC Women’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Livia Lukacs and Jessica Braun of the Ball State women's tennis team have been tabbed this week's Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week which was announced today by the league office.
This dynamic duo posted a 2-0 record at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions this past weekend. Lukacs and Braun opened the weekend registering a 6-4 victory over Bowling Green's Annika Vetter and Ioanna Tsadari, helping the Cardinals take the doubles point over the Falcons and the eventual 4-3 win.
On Sunday, the twosome took down Miami's No. 3 twosome of Sara Zalukar and Nishitha Saravanan, 6-0 to help propel the Cardinals past their rival not only in doubles but also take a 6-1 match over Miami.
With the wins, Lukacs and Braun are now 5-2 in MAC action while helping the Cardinals moved back into first place slot in the MAC standings with an overall record of 15-3 and 6-1 in league play.
The Ball State women's tennis team continues Mid-American Conference action on the road next weekend when the Cardinals play at Western Michigan on Friday, April 15 at 1 pm ET at Sorensen Courts, weather permitting or West Hills Athletic Club.
