Ongay Earns Third MAC Diver of the Week Honor This Season

CLEVELAND, Ohio - - For the third time this season, and the fourth time in his career, Ball State senior diver Hunter Ongay has been named the Mid-American Conference Men's Diver of the Week.

Ongay led the charge for Ball State in last Thursday's diving-only dual at IUPUI, winning the 3M competition with a score of 294.80. He was also Ball State's top performer on the 1M board, placing third with a score of 282.00.

While Ball State's divers will be idle this week, the men's swimming program has a pair of meets on the docket. First up is a noon swim Friday at Bellarmine, which will also feature the women's squad.

On Sunday, the men's swimmers are also slated to compete at the Butler Invite in another noon start. The next opportunity for Ball State's divers to compete will be Saturday, Feb. 5, when Valparaiso when UIndy comes to the Lewellen Aquatic Center for a diving dual.
