Women’s Tennis Earns Top 10 Finish in the ITA Division I Regional Rankings

MUNCIE, Ind. - The final spring 2021 Oracle ITA Division I Women's Regional Rankings have come out with the Cardinals earning the ninth spot in the Ohio Valley region.
The ITA Ohio Valley region is made up of NCAA Division I women's tennis programs from parts of Indiana and Ohio along with neighboring states Kentucky and Tennessee.
The Ball State women's tennis team etched its name into the program's record books once again this season, claiming the program's third Mid-American Conference regular season championship in the past five conference seasons.
The Cardinals also earned a berth to the NCAA Championship marking the second time in program history, both coming under eighth-year head coach Max Norris. In fact, Norris has guided the program to all three of its MAC regular season championships (2016, 2017 and 2021) and to its only MAC Tournament championship (2016).
Ball State finished the season at 22-4 overall and 13-1 in conference play. The special year also featured a 22-match winning streak for the Cardinals.
