Men's Volleyball Places 19 on Academic All-MIVA Team

MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State men's volleyball program placed 19 student-athletes on the 2021 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Academic All-Conference Team as announced by the league office Thursday (May 27).
Across the MIVA, a total of 132 student-athletes earned the distinction by maintaining at least a cumulative 3.0 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale after the completion of the spring semester at their respective institutions.

Sammy Adkisson - Sophomore
Bryce Behrendt - Sophomore
Ben Chinnici - Senior
Kevin Doran - Freshman
Ryan Dorgan - Senior
Felix Egharevba - Junior
Colin Ensalaco - Senior
David Flores - Sophomore
Will Hippe - Senior
Quinn Isaacson - Senior
Kaleb Jenness - Junior
Nick LaVanchy - Graduate Student
Angelos Mandilaris - Graduate Student
Nick Martinski - Junior
Wil McPhillips - Sophomore

Chinnici, Dorgan, Ensalaco, Hippe and Isaacson completed their bachelor's degrees this spring, while LaVanchy, Mandilaris and Reardon are working on advanced degrees.
The men's volleyball team finished the 2021 spring semester with a 3.376 term GPA, bumping the squad's cumulative GPA to 3.376.
The Cardinals finished the 2021 season with a 12-8 overall record, including an 8-5 mark in MIVA play. Ball State, which advanced to the semifinals of the MIVA tournament where it lost to national semifinalist Lewis, finished the season tied for 15th in the final NVA / AVCA Division I-II Men's Coaches Poll.
