Cardinals Have Tune-up with Huskies Prior to Season Opener

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's basketball team will host Michigan Tech on Wednesday in the second game as part of a men's and women's basketball doubleheader. The women play Oakland City at 4 p.m. and the men are scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip. Doors open at 3 p.m.
The Cardinals finished the 2020-21 season with a 10-13 overall record and posted an 8-9 in Mid-American Conference play. Ball State returns eight from last year's squad and are adding six newcomers. Miryne Thomas and Luke Bumbalough lead the returners as they each averaged 7.3 points per game.
The Huskies return four of five starters from last season, including the leading scorer Owen White who averaged 21.2 points per game. Two of the three remaining returners averaged double-digit points.
