Cardinals Receiving Votes in Both National Polls

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Fresh off winning the MAC championship, the Ball State football team is receiving votes in both national polls this week.Â

Head coach Mike Neu's Cardinals received 13 votes in the Coaches Poll, good for 30th nationally, and 11 votes in the AP Top 25, good for 31st.

Ball State knocked off No. 23 Buffalo in the MAC Championship Game and now gets a shot at No. 19 San Jose State, the Mountain West Conference champion, in the Dec. 31 Arizona Bowl.

The Cardinals (6-1) have won six games in a row, claiming the conference title for the first time since 1996, and are set for their first bowl appearance since 2013.
