Softball Alumni & Friends Weekend Set For Sept. 6-7

MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State softball program is planning to kick off its 2019 fall ball schedule with a bang, as it's set to host Alumni & Friends Weekend on Sept. 6-7 in conjunction with the fall opener versus Huntington.

The weekend of fun begins Friday (Sept. 6) at the Softball Field at First Merchants Ballpark Complex with an alumni home run derby and photos starting at 3 p.m.

From there, the Cardinals will battle Huntington in a 5 p.m. fall matchup, before hosting an alumni social hour and dinner at the Ball State Alumni Center beginning at 7 p.m.

Festivities will pick up again Saturday morning at 11 a.m. with a tailgate party right back at the Softball Field at First Merchants Ballpark Complex in preparation for the Ball State Football's 2 p.m. start versus Fordham.

All alumni and friends in attendance will also be recognized on-field during the Cardinals' football game.
