Oshlynn Brown Earns MAC West Player Of The Week Honors

CLEVELAND – For the first time in her career, sophomore forward Oshlynn Brown has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of Week.
Brown led the Cardinals with a career best 25-point performance and added 10 rebounds for her eighth double-double of her career, as Ball State defeated Western Kentucky 86-83 Sunday evening in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Brown shot a season-high 67 percent (8-of-12) from the field while shooting 90 percent (9-of-10) from the free throw line. She had eight defensive rebounds and went 2-of-2 from the charity stripe with seconds remaining to help seal the victory for the Cardinals.
The win against the Lady Toppers in E.A. Diddle Arena was the first for Ball State since the 2008-09 season.
The Ball State women's basketball team returns to Worthen Arena Friday, Dec. 21 for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff against Tennessee State. After that, the Cardinals will close their non-conference schedule at home against Urbana on Dec. 30 at 2 p.m.
