WBB Hosts Field Trip Day; Welcomes Back Charlie's Reading Challenge
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's basketball team and athletics staff will host the third annual Field Trip Day at Worthen Arena on Wednesday, Jan. 9 against Bowling Green. The contest will start at 11 a.m.

Head coach Brady Sallee, hosts the event to provide an opportunity for local elementary schools to enjoy the Ball State women's basketball game-day experience.

The Field Trip game includes free tickets for all students and teachers who enroll, an educational component and an exciting halftime performance. Schools interested in attending the Field Trip Day can register their schools or classrooms through Friday, Jan. 4, by emailing sksullivan@bsu.edu.  

Ball State Athletics is happy to announce the return of Charlie's Reading Challenge, beginning Jan. 22 and running through Feb. 22. Local elementary schools are eligible to participate.  

Charlie Cardinal's challenge, if you choose to accept, is for students to read four books at their reading level and approved by their teacher by Feb. 22. Charlie will kick off the challenge with a reading party on Jan. 22. Charlie will provide a keepsake bookmark to each student who completes the program. Each bookmark features instructions for parents/guardians to access complimentary tickets to the men's basketball game on March 8 or women's basketball game on March 9.
