Women’s Tennis Closes Fall Play With Five Singles Victories

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Ball State women's tennis team wrapped up its fall action Sunday at the WMU Super Challenge.  The Cardinals closed the day with four singles victories.
 
Ball State had two players win in three set thrillers over their respective opponents. Lilya Hadab played host Western Michigan's Jeryn Jack where she took the match from the Broncos, 7-6, 6-2, 6-1.  Isabelle Dohanics rounded out the three set victories today against Cleveland State's Sian Payne, 7-5, 6-2, 6-1.
 
Audrey Berger and Rebecca Herrington managed straight set defeats in their singles competitions.  Berger claimed a 6-1, 6-1 win over Big Ten foes Indiana Somer Henry while Herrington beat Tereza Pilzova of Lewis, 6-1, 6-0.
 
The Ball State women's tennis team opens its spring schedule when it hosts Dayton Sunday, Jan. 20 at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.  First serve is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
