Sear Paces Women’s Golf on MAC Day 2

Cardinals seventh with one round to play

SILVER LAKE, Ohio -- Kelsey Sear led the Ball State women's golf team Saturday with a 75 (+3) on day two of the Mid-American Conference Championships.
Ball State posted a team score of 314 to bring its 36-hole total at Silver Lake Country Club to 627. The Cardinals, now in seventh place, also counted a 78 from Sydney Anderson, an 80 from Morgan Nadaline and an 81 from Allison Lindley.
For the second straight day, the average score for the field was higher than 78.
No. 15-ranked Kent State pushed its lead to 19 strokes with a score of 587 (+11). Ohio and Northern Illinois are tied for second place.
Kent State's Michaela Finn holds a four-stroke lead on the individual leaderboard at 1 under par.
Anderson remained the top Ball State player in a tie for 14th with a 36-hole total of 154 (+10). Sear and Nadaline are tied for 29th at 159 (+15).
The final round will be played Sunday, with Ball State's tee times starting at 8:40 a.m. on the 10th tee. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
