December 12, 2017 | Women's Basketball
MUNCIE, Ind. – Ball State University President Geoffrey Mearns is inviting all university faculty and staff – along with the Muncie community – to take their lunch break at Worthen Arena this coming Monday, Dec. 18, as the undefeated Ball State women's basketball team hosts Austin Peay at 11 a.m.
For just $5 when purchased in advance of game day, fans in attendance will receive a silver section ticket and lunch – choice of Chick-fil-A, slice of Papa John's pizza or hot dog along with a bag of chips and Pepsi drink. Gold section tickets and food combo can be secured for $10. Call 888-BSU-TICKET (5-1474 on campus) or visit the Stoops Buick/GMC Ticket Center at Gate 1 of Worthen Arena. This deal may be purchased for $10 (silver)/$15 (gold) on day of game.
Season ticket holders may also take advantage of the meal for $5 at the concession stands on the day of the game.
"I am very proud of our outstanding women's basketball team, and now is the time for all Cardinal fans to come out to support them," President Mearns said. "It's an exciting time for Ball State sports as our athletes prove both on and off the court that they can fly."
Field Trip Day for area elementary school students also will take place in conjunction with the Austin Peay game. Interested teachers or administrators may enroll their schools or classrooms through Wednesday, Dec. 13, by emailing bsusports@bsu.edu or calling 765-285-1474. Free tickets and lunches will be provided for all students and teachers who enroll.
"Our Kids' Day game is one of our favorite contests of the year," head coach Brady Sallee said. "The fact that President Mearns has gotten behind it and included the Ball State faculty and staff is just icing on the cake. We look forward to seeing all the schools and the Ball State community in full force on Monday!"
