Women’s Golf Concludes Day 1 at Louisville

Cardinals will wrap up final fall tournament Sunday
SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. -- The Ball State women's golf team opened with rounds of 309 and 320 Saturday at the Cardinal Cup hosted by Louisville.
The Cardinals are 15th with a 36-hole total of 629 at the University of Louisville Golf Club.
Louisville (-3) holds a 12-shot advantage over second-place Kent State (+9) with one round left to play. The tournament includes 10 teams ranked among the top 75 in the country.
Lauren Hartlage of Louisville holds the individual lead by a remarkable nine strokes at 10 under par after rounds of 69 and 65.
Manon Tounalom (T54) and Sydney Anderson (T56) were Ball State's top players Saturday. Anderson made six birdies on the day, the fifth-best total in the field.
The third and final round of the Cardinal Cup will be played Sunday with a 9:15 a.m. shotgun start. It will be the Cardinals' final round of the fall season.
