Men's Tennis Finishes Day One At Louisville Fall Invite

LOUISVILLE, KY - The Ball State men's tennis team closed out its first day of competition at the Louisville Fall Invitational late Friday night.
Nemanja Guzina went 1-1 today in Flight A singles after opening competition with a three set victory over Butler's Michael Dickson. Nemanja Guzina dropped the first set to Dickson 4-6 but fought back to take sets two and three by a score of 6-4.
Chris Adams, Luke Wiese, and Tom Carney found success in the singles Flight C bracket. All three Cardinals won their first round matches in straight sets. Adams registered a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Nate Dell of Xavier while teammate Wiese defeated Wright State's Carlos Estrada-Sanchez, 6-2, 6-4.Â
Carney grabbed a 6-3, 7-6 victory over Toledo's Nikola Arsic. Adams advanced to the quarterfinal match after earning a 6-3, 6-2, win over George Wong of Lipscomb and will take on Chattanooga's Chris Long tomorrow.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues action at the Louisville Fall Invitational beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday. The day begins with one round of doubles and will finish with two rounds of singles.
