Men's Tennis Finishes Day Two of Fall Play At MTC

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Ball State men's tennis team finished its second day of competition at the 41st annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic. The event is hosted by Marquette University and held at the Town Club in Fox Point, Wisconsin.
The Cardinals began the morning with singles play against Big Ten foe Wisconsin. Conner Andersen was the lone winner in singles action today after posting a 7-6, 7-6 defeat over Elliott Sprecher. Lucas Andersen, Nemanja Guzina and Tom Carney all put up good fights in their respective matches but lost in three sets.
After singles, Ball State closed the day with doubles action against host Marquette. The Golden Eagles took all four matches over the Cardinals. Carney and Jan Jirus played an extra match against Navy defeating the Bills Seth McNair and Joshua Martin, 6-2.
The Ball State men's tennis team will close play at the 41st annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic Sunday with a doubles match at 10 a.m. (EST) against Wisconsin and singles play versus Navy beginning at 12 p.m. (EST).
