Softball Announces Fall Ball Schedule

MUNCIE, Ind. - - With the calendar turning to the month of September it could mean only one thing at the Softball Field at First Merchants Ballpark Complex, the start of the Ball State softball fall ball season.
Cardinals softball fans will have numerous opportunities to catch their team at home this fall, as second-year head coach Megan Ciolli Bartlett announced the team's five-date schedule which has the squad playing at home four times.
Ball State opens the fall season Sept. 11 with home games versus Lake Land College (12 p.m.) and Indiana State (2 p.m.). After a Sept. 18 road trip to the State of Indiana Tournament at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind., the Cardinals return home for a Sept. 25 doubleheader versus Fort Wayne. First pitch in the twinbill is set for 11 a.m.
For its final fall tournament, the Cardinals play host to the College of DuPage (Noon) and Ferris State (4 p.m.) on Oct. 2. Ball State wraps up its fall campaign Oct. 15 with its annual Red & Black Scrimmage starting at 2 p.m.
The Ball State softball program officially opens fall camp Sept. 6.
